In 2010 I was commissioned by Gaspard and Dancers to write an original work for their benefit performance for Haiti Relief. At the time I was asked to compose music the choreography had already been completed. The dancers were in rehearsals and keeping time using a work by John Adams. I attended many rehearsals with a stop watch and staff paper. The work was scored for low strings and clarinets: above is a link to the music file in SoundCloud.
